Lysozyme

Product name: Lysozyme
CAS No.: 12650-88-3
Molecular weight: about 14000
Molecular formula:

Property: white or slightly white lyophilized powder, soluble in water, insoluble in ether and acetone.
Uses: Lysozyme (also known as muramidase or N-acetylmuramide glycanohydrlase) is an alkaline enzyme that hydrolyzes mucopolysaccharides in pathogenic bacteria. Mainly by breaking the β-1,4 glycosidic bond between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine in the cell wall, the cell wall insoluble mucopolysaccharide is decomposed into soluble glycopeptide, which causes the cell wall rupture content to escape. Bacteria dissolve. Lysozyme can also bind directly to a negatively charged viral protein, forming a double salt with DNA, RNA, and apoprotein to inactivate the virus. Therefore, it can be used as a natural anti-infective substance with bactericidal action. It has antibacterial, antiviral, hemostasis, swelling and pain relief and accelerates the recovery function of tissues.
Storage conditions: It is recommended to keep it in a cool and dry environment, storage temperature: below zero.
